Dr. Charles Sophy, has dedicated his life to the physical and mental well-being of children and families from all walks of life.

As the Medical Director for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS)--the largest Child Welfare System in the United States—he is responsible for directing the physical and mental health, as well as ensuring the safety, of over 40,000 foster care children. In his private practice, Dr. Sophy protects and cares for the nation’s most privileged children and families. And it is this range and scope of patients that set him apart from any other psychiatrist or medical professional in the media today.

Dr. Sophy joined VH-1’s “Celebrity Rehab 2 with Dr. Drew” and its spin-off “Sober House” in 2008/09, treating the mental health component and the family dynamic of addiction."
